The Department of Central Services is responsible for provision of goods and services in an efficient, effective and timely manner. The department is headed by Senior Assistant Registrar working with Senior Secretary.

The department is further divided into 5 functional units to facilitate specialized efficient and effective delivery of goods and services. The specialized units are given below:

The University of Zimbabwe’s Internal Audit Department is established as part of the University’s commitment to compliance with best practise in corporate governance. The Department is a service department whose mandate is to facilitate the development of sound internal control systems in all areas of the University. By so doing, the Department provides assurance to Executive Management and the University Council that there is reasonable mitigation of risk exposures which may prevent the University from achieving its core objectives.

UZP publishes Journal of Applied Sciences in Southern Africa (JASSA) and (ZAMBEZIA) twice a year and Central African Journal of Medicine (CAJM) three times a year. For all our journals, we accept articles in English and from authors from across the globe, regardless of their nationality. UZP accepts three kinds of articles for its journals; original or regular, short communications and reviews. Original: full-length empirical investigations not exceeding 5000 words. Short communications: significant new information for the readers of the journals … insightful findings of social or behavioural sciences and humanities. Each article should not exceed 2500 words. Reviews: critical evaluation of materials about current research that had already been published. Author organizes, integrates and evaluates previously published materials. Articles must not to exceed 4500 words. Once in a while we accept requests for selected papers from research presented at a conference, seminar, congress or symposium. Each paper intended for the journal should not to exceed 5500 words.

All the suggested article lengths (above) exclude the abstract, references, tables and figures. Articles submitted for publishing consideration are guaranteed to receive a decision within 16 weeks.
