MSc in Water Resource Engineering Management Print Email

The Master of Science Degree in Water Resources Engineering Management (WREM) is a taught programme offered on a full-time basis (3 semesters) or part-time (6 semesters).  A semester normally runs for 6 months.  The programme comprises a taught part followed by a Dissertation.  The taught part comprises nine courses, of which five and a Project are compulsory and four are elective.  The Dissertation normally commences after successful completion of the taught part and the Research Methods Course.

To be admitted into the programme, candidates must have normally obtained a good first degree in an appropriate field of engineering or natural sciences.  Professional experience in relevant fields is an added advantage.

Mission Statement

 

The Multimedia Resource Centre (formerly named the Audio Visual Teaching Unit or A.V.T.U.) is one of the seven units within the University of Zimbabwe, College of Health Sciences. Our mission is in the interest of promoting communication by consistently producing high quality multimedia products for teaching, learning, research and outreach purposes as well as for satisfying our commercial market. To this end we provide suitable, appropriate and modern teaching services by availing multimedia teaching aids and facilities to all departments within the college as well as any other departments in the University at large.

 

The Multimedia Resource Centre (MMRC) also offers its services to the general public - i.e. to individuals, organizations and institutions.

 

The MMRCs activities are based on the operational dimensions of educational technology, like media design, media development (including research), media utilization (including user training), media centre management and evaluation (including technical quality control during production).
