Fundamental of Anaesthetic Practice

Period of Training: 1 year

Examinations:

 

  1. 1.Written Paper I: 100 MCQ questions in 3   (DA 401)

 

Written Paper II Essays: 5 questions in 3 hours                                          (DA 402)

 

  1. 2.Clinical Oral Examination: approximately 45 minute(DA 480)

Oral Examination, Equipment and procedure: approximately 45 minutes (DA 490)     

  1. 3.Continuous Assessment (Coursework):                                       (DA 450)
    1. 1)3 MCQs Assessments
    2. 2)2 Essays
    3. 3)2 Clinical Assessments of patient management in theatre

 

To pass, the candidate must obtain a score of at least 50% in each of the three components of the examination.

The curriculum for pediatric training aims to produce medical practitioners with sufficient knowledge and clinical skills in general pediatrics, maternal and child health and neonatology with specific emphasis interpretation of findings, differential diagnosis and management. Modes of delivery involve high participation in the wards and in the outpatients departments, lectures, and integrated seminars, use of videos, case studies, small group tutorials and bedside tutorials.
