Our Faculties

Master’s Degree (MSc.) in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM)

The MSc in Integrated Water Resources Management is offered in collaboration with the University of Dar es Salaam, in Tanzania, University of Malawi, University of Western Cape, University of Botswana, University of KwaZulu Natal and the Polytechnic of Namibia.  Other cooperating partners include UNESCO-IHE of the Netherlands and the Institute of Water and Sanitation and Development (IWSD) of Harare, Zimbabwe. Students take core modules at the University of Zimbabwe and the University of Dar es Salaam and then persue a preferred specialization at any one of the 6 collaborating institutions as well as at the University of Zimbabwe. The programme is largely sponsored by WaterNet although privately funded students can also apply. The duration of the programme is normally three semesters for full-time study consisting of the taught part during the first two semesters while a dissertation is often carried out during the last semester of study.  Students are drawn from the SADC region and East Africa.  More details about the programme can be obtained from web:
