Welcome to the Faculty of Social Studies

The Faculty of Social Studies houses eight departments made up of six teaching departments and two research centres which offer Masters and Doctoral programs. Social Studies has on offer a wide array of programmes and research interests for the 2500 students with a staff establishment of 108 lecturers. The faculty plays an important role to national and regional manpower needs by producing sought after graduates employed in the public and private sectors, NGOs and parastatals. Graduate students have the priviledge of being supervised by contemporary researchers and undertake cutting-edge research in all social science fields.
