The Southern and Eastern African Regional Centre for Women’s Law hereinafter referred to as SEARCWL and the University of Zimbabwe being aware of the professional, social and family constraints that affect women's capacity to pursue postgraduate studies on a full time basis away from their home countries have endeavoured to provide a flexible programme format which permits women candidates, in particular, to balance these components of their lives in their pursuit of postgraduate studies.
