There are eight core courses including 3 in research EDU101-EDU102, and ETM260, 3 in curriculum issues and supervision and evaluation (ETM105 and ETM107), and practice and analysis of teaching (ETM206), and one in communication skills CSED101. In addition, core courses in the area of specialization are required, two each in: Music Education selected from ETM201, ETM204 and ETM208; Art and Design selected from ETAD202 and ETAD204

Entry Requirements
An applicant must normally have a teaching certificate or diploma in education or its equivalent recognized by this University. For Music and Physical Education, students undergo an instrument and physical performance test, and for Art and Design, applicants present a Portfolio of their creative work.
How to Apply
There are two ways of applying to the University of Zimbabwe for an undergraduate degree: Paper-based forms:These forms are available from the Admissions Office, you can come and collect them for an application fee of US$20 for local students and US$30 for foreigners. Via Electronic forms The form below is for use by prospective students who wish to apply to the University of Zimbabwe to study undergraduate degrees. Please download the form and print it. Read through the form and once you have gone through it please complete the form, and then post it to us. PLEASE NOTE: You should not submit the form electronically. You are required to print it out and post it to the University with any other supporting documents (e.g certified copy of I.d particulars). An Application Fee of (US$30 for foreign students) , should also be enclosed as cash or bank cheques. Also NOTE THAT late application fees are US$30.
