THEORETICAL FLUID MECHANICS

Applicants should have a Doctorate or its equivalent in published research in the field of Fluid Mechanics. Candidates should have extensive experience in teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and will be required to make a significant contribution to supervision of Doctorate and Masters students.

NUMERICAL ANALYSIS

Applicants should have a Doctorate or its equivalent in published research in the field of Numerical analysis. This is a senior post. Besides the normal duties candidates will be expected to initiate and supervise student research at Doctorate and Masters levels.

DYNAMICAL SYSTEMS

Applicants should have a Doctorate or its equivalent in published research in the field of Dynamical Systems, preferably with research experience in Epidemiology or Mathematical Biology. Ideally, candidates will teach undergraduate courses and will be expected to contribute to the supervision of Doctorate and Masters students.

STOCHASTIC DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

Applicants should be qualified in the field of Stochastic Differential Equations. Preferably candidates should be qualified at Ph.D. level and will be expected, besides normal duties, to supervise projects for undergraduate honours students.

PROBABILITY AND ANALYSIS

Applicants should be qualified in the fields of Probability and Analysis. Preferably candidates should be qualified at Ph.D level, and will be expected, besides normal duties, to supervise projects for undergraduate honours students.

SET THEORY THEORY AND LOGIC

Applicants should have a Doctorate or its equivalent in published research in the fields of Set theory and Logic. This is a senior position and candidates will be expected, besides normal duties, to make significant contributions to postgraduate research.

FUNCTIONAL ANALYSIS

Applicants should have a Doctorate or its equivalent in published research in the field of Analysis. This is a senior position and candidates will be expected, besides normal duties, to supervise students for postgraduate degrees.

GRAPH THEORY/ DISCRETE MATHEMATICS

Applicants should have a Doctorate or its equivalent in published research in at least one of the fields of Graph Theory and Discrete Mathematics. This is a senior position and, besides normal duties, candidates should be able to supervise groups of students working for postgraduate degrees.
