The Faculty of Computer Engineering Informatics and Communications came into existence in August 2020 after an intense programming process that saw the University introduce and align Programmes to Education 5.0. The Faculty comprises of 4 Departments and 2 Centres as follows: Analytics and Informatics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunications, Centre for ICT Product Development Services and Training and the Centre for Computer Technology Training and Development. Twenty four (24) new Programmes, ten (10) Undergraduate and fourteen (14) Postgraduate, were also reviewed and accredited by ZIMCHE.
The Faculty will be known for building an understanding of computer science and providing solutions, products and services in software and hardware engineering and ICTs. The Faculty serves as a service Faculty to the University and anchor the development of digital and e-service solutions and products for business and society.
