Career Prospects
Our students will be well equipped to pursue careers in research and development in various high-end technology and knowledge based industries as well as emerging technologies that cut across traditional engineering and science disciplines, or to enter professional fields.
Graduates find employment in government and private cancer treatment centres in Zimbabwe that provide all types of radiation therapy procedures and modern diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines, CT scanners and nuclear medicine facilities. These
institutions all need least one to two resident Medical physicist to ensure proper operation of these facilities and equipment.
Meteorologists are employed by any institution in which weather and climate plays a role, including the study, interpretation and prediction of weather and phenomena relating to climate. Examples include National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs), research institutions, universities, agricultural institutions, aviation, environment and general industries where they may practise as specialists in weather and climate related aspects.
Graduates may find career opportunities as scientists working for industry or government, or in a technical field as Astronomers, Atmospheric & Space Scientists, Physicists & Plasma Physicists, Aerospace Engineers, Aerospace Engineering and Operations Avionics Technicians, Meteorological Technicians.
