Edwin Runatsa joined the University of Zimbabwe in 2007 as the Deputy Chief Security Officer. Prior to joining the university, Mr. Runatsa had been recruited into the Zimbabwe Republic Police as a graduate trainee and had risen through the ranks to become an Assistant Inspector. Currently his duties include investigation (and also supervising investigations) of criminal cases and violations of university regulations, supervision of security operations, implementing security policies and assisting the Chief Security Officer in the supervision of security officers, sergeants and security guards.
Mr Runatsa holds a Bsc Psychology degree and an M.B.A both from the University of Zimbabwe as well as diplomas in security management and personnel management
