Professor Jephat Chifamba

Professor Jephat Chifamba (DPhil) is a Professor of Human Physiology and Deputy Dean Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Zimbabwe. He is also the current member of University of Zimbabwe Research and Innovation Committee. He teaches human physiology in the following areas: Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing Science, Rehabilitation, Radiography and Nutrition and Postgraduate Masters in Psychiatry and Surgery. Prof Chifamba is also a visiting Professor at the University of Johannesburg. He is a Special Projects Coordinator in the University Research and Innovation Directorate, a former Chairman of the then Department of Physiology fortwo decades during which he developed a Master’s Program in Physiology. He is board member of Karanda Hospital, international board member of an anti-human trafficking organisation called Love Justice, Board Chair of Otter Foster Home, board member of Jabulani Children’s Home and Chairman of Zimbabwe Without Orphans. He is a prolific researcher in cardiovascular diseases with an excess of 90 publications.
