Programme Description:
- Provides a platform to develop and produce thoughtful, versatile, entrepreneurial and imaginative journalism and media practitioners. Degree integrates intellectual study with the production of media. Offers students opportunities to work on a range of media projects, exposing them to a variety of media. It seeks to equip students with skills which will enable them to work with efficiency and confidence in journalism, media and communication fields in Zimbabwe and the global community.
- Exciting field practicals such as photo journalism, broadcast journalism, writing news articles for print and electronic media, video shooting, video editing, web management, and all online media tools.
- Excellent links with guest/visiting lecturers and industry experts
Entry Requirements: Applicants must obtain at least any two (2) good “A” Level subjects, preferably in the Arts/Humanities
Job Opportunities/Prospects:
Journalist in print and electronic media, producer in electronic media, sub-editing, public relations in private sector/ NGO/government departments, media researcher, policy analyst, lectureship; specialist writers and reporters.
