Work Experience
Eng H. Chingosho is currently with University of Zimbabwe as a lecturer in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department. He is the Research Cluster Leader for Energy and Power Research at the University of Zimbabwe and also the current Renewable Energy Programme Coordinator. He is the Soltrain+ Representative for the University of Zimbabwe, the Team leader for the Transforming Energy Access Learnership Partnership Project (TEA-LP) and the Lead Educator for the Efficiency for Access Design Challenge. He teaches Solar Energy System Engineering, Integrated Energy Systems, Energy Management and Auditing, Mini-grid Planning and Design, Hydro and Wind Energy Systems, Simulations and Modelling of Energy Systems, Energy Economic and Project Management, Energy Policy and Fundamentals to Renewable Energy. Eng H. Chingosho is an experienced Energy and Power Engineering professional with over 9 years in engineering design, project management, research, and strategic interventions. He has a strong background in modern energy technologies, sustainability, and climate proofing. He has worked previously for HIVOS Southern Africa (2018-2020) where he was a Program Officer, providing technical support and policy advocacy for renewable energy projects; UNICEF Zimbabwe where he was a Social Policy and Research Officer; Samansco Pvt Ltd where he was a Research and Development Engineer, focusing on design optimizations of C&I renewable energy systems and Practical Action Southern Africa where he was an Advocacy Officer for Renewable Energy policies. Eng H. Chingosho has extensive consultancy experience in energy policy, renewable energy systems, energy efficiency, and capacity building across various international organizations. This includes significant contributions to national energy policies, technical support for renewable energy projects, and development of training programs for sustainable energy solutions such as:
