This practice-led module explores the role of The Artist-Director as an autonomous creator in contemporary film, TV, and radio. It focuses on developing a personal artistic vision and the practical skills to execute self-directed projects from short films and audio features to serialized digital content (e.g., TikTok, web series). Students will examine the confluence of auteur theory, digital platform strategy, micro-budget producing, and personal branding. The module is centered on praxis, combining critical analysis with hands-on project development. Learning and Teaching will be delivered through seminars, workshops, and project supervision. Assessment will be based on a project pitch, a critical reflection, the creation of an original short-form work. |

This course explores the dynamic field of arts journalism, equipping students with the skills to critically engage with arts and articulate their insights through writing. It covers various forms of arts writing, including album reviews, artist profiles, and concert coverage. By the end of the course, students will produce a portfolio of written work and be prepared to enter the world of arts journalism with confidence. |

Arts Entrepreneurship |
In this module students are exposed to the fine arts as business. The seminar approach is intended to expose students to the concept of developing a business plan, seeking financial assistance and managing an arts business enterprise. The module is characterized by guest artists running the arts as business for the students’ appreciation of the challenges and successes the arts encounter. It is expected that by the time students graduate, they should be in a position to start or should have started their own small enterprise. |

Dissertation |
The module equips learners with the skills of carrying out the actual research and writing a research project through data collection. The students are given an opportunity to research on a topic of their choice. This module derives support from other fundamental modules in the degree programme with the guidance of an experienced faculty member. |
