The module is an in-depth study of the nexus between management and ethics in regard to the treatment by management, of employees, stockholders, owners and the public. Expected outputs include a heightened understanding of the standards of business behaviour which promote human welfare and the good, ethical leadership and ethical decision making.Upon completion of the module, students are expected to be able to provide advisory services in the establishment of codes of ethics for managers and they are also expected to conduct ethics training, conduct social audits and provide support for individuals facing ethical dilemmas. |

Advanced Issues in African Philosophy | This module is deepened discourse on philosophy in Africa. It focuses more specific subject-matter, in such areas as African epistemology, African values, and social and political philosophy in the light of the African experience. |
| MPEHD 502 | Ethics and Technology | The module is situated in technology ethics, which is a sub-field of ethics addressing the ethical questions specific to the Technology Age. Technology ethics are principles that can be used to govern technology including factors like risk management and individual rights. They are basically used to understand and resolve moral issues that have to do with the development and application of technology of different types. |
| MPEHD 503 | Ethics and Corporate Governance | The module equips students with tools for dealing with moral complexity in business - Business decisions have an ethical component - Ethical implications must be weighed before acting. In regard to corporate governance the module studies the ownership, control and accountability of companies, and how the corporate pursuit of economic objectives relates to a number of wider ethical and societal considerations. |

The module equips students with skills to analyse historical and emergent African development problems with a view to provide wisdom on how to deal with current challenges. |

Ethics and Artificial Intelligence | The module is an in-depth analysis of ethical problems of artificial intelligence? It grapples with serious questions related to the use of artificial intelligence. Do we need create artificial human beings? If machines takeover the work that we deem to be the work of human beings, what will then be the purpose of our existence as human beings? Can artificial beings take responsibility for their actions? The module is handy as we are slowly being ushered into the forth industrial revolution. |

Community Project | Students independently identify a community and propose a project to engage in; with the view to not only familiarise themselves with challenges in the community but also to suggest possible solutions that the student’s academic discipline could offer. Two visits to the Community shall be done by the academic supervisor: one at the initial stage and the second at the end of the project. A student shall write a report (between 4500 to 5000 words), which shall be marked. A responsible authority in the Community where the project was carried out writes a report to the Department about the student. |
| MPEHD 570 | Dissertation | Students are given an opportunity to carry out an academic research project on a topic of their choice as a way of showing their innovative understanding and application of issues they have studied. With the guidance from a member of the academic staff as supervisor, the learners plan and design an independent research project. The research Project must be between 15000 to 20000 words (excluding references) in the Times New Roman size 12 and including double-spacing. |
