 ACCN102  Quantitative Methods for Business  The overall aim of the module is to provide students with an understanding of the different data types and their collection methods, summarization analysis and interpretation for decision making as well as equipping the students with knowledge of Descriptive and Inferential Statistics.
ACCN105 Business and Organisational Environment The module equips students with various management skills of managing businesses and the ability to scan the environment. and draw implications from environmental analysis and make appropriate decisions.

It examines linguistic structures, cognitive processes, and sociocultural factors influencing language learning. Additionally, the module addresses the principles and practices of inter-cultural communication, highlighting how culture affects language use, communication styles, and understanding across diverse cultural contexts. Students will develop practical skills for effective communication in multicultural environments, including strategies for overcoming language barriers and fostering intercultural competence in professional and social settings.
FINMGT101 Economic Theory and Application for Finance The module equips student with tools of micro- and macroeconomic analysis and, by applying them, you will understand the behaviour of households, firms and government. Problems include: trade and specialization; the operation of markets; industrial structure and economic welfare; the determination of aggregate output and price level; fiscal and monetary policy and foreign exchange rates
BANKFIN101 Corporate and Banking Law Corporate and Banking law; is a level one module is built on the knowledge of basic principles and concepts of business law.  This module aims to give students a general introduction to various rules and principles which the Zimbabwean Banking and Corporate sector uses to construct the correct business practices.
BANKFIN102 Financial Markets and Regulation The purpose of the module is to provide students with knowledge of the structure and functioning of financial markets and the securities traded therein in order to enable them to make successful financial decisions on the individual as well as the corporate level.

This module aims to equip students with essential personal, interpersonal, and professional skills necessary for holistic development and success in academic and professional settings.  BANKFIN203  Programming and Bank Information Systems  This module introduces students to programming concepts and their application in banking information systems. It covers software development fundamentals, database integration, transaction processing systems, and security protocols specific to the banking sector. Emphasis is placed on designing, implementing, and managing bank information systems to enhance operational efficiency, data integrity, and customer service. Students will gain practical skills in using programming tools and technologies relevant to financial institutions.
 FINMGT203  Financial Management  The module enables students to appreciate the role of financial management in organization and to acquaint students with knowledge of time value of money and its relevant in financial management as well as apply knowledge of time value of money in routine business applications such as calculations of loan monthly instalments, loan amortization and setting up of sinking funds for various purposes the module introduces students to project appraisal
 BANKFIN204  Principles of Bank Lending  This module is designed to help students understand the lending aspect of a bank. The course covers the principles of lending, the various forms and types of commercial lending by a bank. An in-depth discussion about the concept of lending products and the various methods of assessing and monitoring the lending processes.
 BANKFIN205  Digital Banking and Payment Systems  This module explores the principles and technologies behind digital banking and modern payment systems. It covers electronic funds transfer, mobile banking, digital wallets, online banking security, blockchain applications, and regulatory compliance in the digital financial environment. Students will analyze the impact of digital payment innovations on financial inclusion, operational efficiency, and customer experience. The module equips students with the skills to evaluate, implement, and manage digital banking solutions in a rapidly evolving financial landscape.

FINMGT302 Treasury management The module is designed to produce graduates who can work under Treasury Departments holding different portfolios such as fund managers, risk managers, cash managers, asset managers, financial analysts, etc. and provides a detailed, comprehensive and in-depth understanding of both theory and practice of Treasury Management in a banking environment in particular and financial sector in general. Basically, students are expected to understand inter-alia the role and structure/organisation of the Treasury function together with the Treasurer’s responsibilities within both the domestic and global contexts.
BANKFIN301 Digital Currencies The aims of this module are to make students appreciate how digitalisation has affected the provision of banking and financial services products, enable students appreciate crypto-currencies and evaluate their use and potential in Zimbabwe’s financial market and assess the adoption of block chain technology and its potential in the banking, securities trading and other services
BANKFIN302 Data Analytics for Digital Banking This module examines the application of data analytics techniques in the digital banking environment. It focuses on how banks and financial institutions use data to enhance customer experience, improve operational efficiency, manage risk, and support strategic decision-making. Key topics include data management, descriptive and predictive analytics, customer analytics, fraud detection, credit scoring, and performance measurement in digital banking platforms. The module also explores the use of big data, dashboards, and analytical tools, as well as ethical, regulatory, and data privacy considerations in financial services. By the end of the module, students will be able to analyse and interpret banking data to support innovation, risk management, and data-driven decisions in digital financial services.

The module invariably covers Liquidity risk management Interest rate risk management, foreign exchange risk management, Market risk, Credit risk, Operational risk and how it is managed as well as Integrated risk management and risk management tool
FINMGT306 Management of Electronic Systems Through equipping students with knowledge of electronic banking and financial services, the E-Banking course seeks to nurture students to meaningfully participate in the development and provision of e- banking and financial services.

The module covers advanced qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods approaches, including research paradigms, sampling techniques, instrument design, data analysis, and interpretation. It also emphasises ethical considerations, research validity and reliability, and the use of appropriate analytical tools and technologies. Through critical engagement with scholarly literature and practical research exercises, students develop the capacity to design, conduct, and evaluate rigorous academic and applied research, preparing them for independent research projects, dissertations, and postgraduate studies.

FINMGT404 Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management This module is meant to equip the students with the ability to choose securities to include in a portfolio from a universe of securities. It equips them with the techniques of managing the created portfolio to attain the targeted goals or objectives. It also enables them to evaluate the performance of an investment or a portfolio by exposing the students to the various portfolio evaluation techniques
FINMGT405 Ethics and Professional Conduct for Finance This module examines the ethical principles and professional standards governing finance and investment practices. Topics include fiduciary responsibilities, corporate governance, ethical decision-making, regulatory compliance, and codes of conduct in financial institutions.
