 Entry Requirements

Master of Science in Public Policy and Governance Entry Requirements

To be eligible to apply for admission to the Master of Science in Public Policy and Governance programme, a candidate must normally have attained at least one of the following qualifications:

  • A high standard of achievement in the BSc (Political Science) Honours Degree or BSc (Administration) Honours Degree or an equivalent degree qualification or
  • A high standard of achievement in an approved Honours degree in a related discipline.
  • Applicants with a general degree or approved qualification may be considered by Senate on the recommendation of the Department and the Dean. Normally, such applicants shall also possess relevant experience and may be required to pass a qualifying examination set by the university prior to Senate deciding on their acceptability for admission.

Master of Science in International Trade and Diplomacy Entry Requirements

To be eligible to apply for admission to the Master of Science in International Trade and Diplomacy programme, a candidate must normally have attained at least one of the following qualifications:

  • A high standard of achievement in the BSc (Political Science) Honours Degree or BSc (Administration) Honours Degree or an equivalent degree qualification or
  • A high standard of achievement in an approved Honours degree in a related discipline.
  • Applicants with a general degree or approved qualification may be considered by Senate on the recommendation of the Department and the Dean. Master of Science in International Politics and International Relations Entry Requirements

To be eligible to apply for admission to the Master of Science in International Politics and International Relations programme, a candidate must normally have attained at least one of the following qualifications:

  • A high standard of achievement in the BSc (Political Science) Honours Degree or BSc (Administration) Honours Degree or an equivalent degree qualification or
  • A high standard of achievement in an approved Honours degree in a related discipline.
  • Applicants with a general degree or approved qualification may be considered by Senate on the recommendation of the Department and the Dean. Normally, such applicants shall also possess relevant experience and may be required to pass a qualifying examination set by the university prior to Senate deciding on their acceptability for admission

Bachelor of Science in Government and Public Management Entry Requirements

  • To be admitted to the degree programme a candidate must have satisfied the minimum conditions for entrance to degree studies as prescribed in the General Regulations and the Faculty Regulations, provided that the mere satisfaction of the minimum conditions will not guarantee entry to the programme.

Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Political Science and Diplomacy Entry Requirements
