The National Centre for Groundwater Training and Research-NCGTR

About Us

The NCGTR is a national hub for advancing groundwater knowledge, training, and innovationin Zimbabwe and the wider SADC region. Established to respond to growing climate-inducedwater challenges, the Centre promotes sustainable groundwater management through research, training, and policy support.Key Partners: Government of Zimbabwe (MoLAFWRD), UNESCO ROSA, University of Zimbabwe, SADC-GMI, ZAMCOM, LIMCOM, BUPUSA, IAH, Global Water Partnership

To be a globally recognized centre of excellence in sustainable groundwater management by 2035.

Mission

To generate and share scientific and heritage-based innovations through research, training,outreach, and policy advocacy, contributing to water security and climate resilience.
