Qualifications: DPhil Sociology of Health (UZ, 2017), MSc Sociology & Social Anthropology (UZ, 2009), Bsc Hons Sociology (UZ, 2007), Bachelor of Laws (UNISA, 2022)
Bio: Dr Mandizada is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Community and Social Development, Faculty of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Zimbabwe. He has 12 years’ work experience in teaching, university service and social research. He is currently the Programme Coordinator for the BSc Crimonology and Society degree programme. He teaches Modules in Advanced Social Theory at MSc level, Introduction to Criminology, Criminological Theory and Sociology of Law at Undergraduate Level. He is a distinguished social scientist and is engaged in cutting edge social [action] research, teaching, publishing and policy analysis and evaluation. His main skills and competencies include strong writing and communication, community engagement, mobilisation & social marketing, as well well as research training/supervision and project evaluation.
Research Interests: His research and academic interests are in Qualitative/Phenomenological Cancer Research; Legal & Political Sociology; Anthropology and Sociology of Public Health; Criminology and Applied Social Theory
