The department trains anaesthetists at Diploma and Masters Level. It introduced anaesthesia and critical care training to undergraduate students. The expectation of the department is to produce a safe anaesthetist for the country and the region. The department expects to confer resuscitation skills and basic life skills to undergraduate trainees.
