The Department of Surgical Sciences is home to the training of the various specialties of surgery serving both undergraduate and postgraduate students. It trains future cadres who meet registration with Medical and Dental Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe as clinical specialist in the provision of surgical services. The Department prides itself on providing an outstanding clinical service, excellent teaching to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, and world-class research.
