Agriculture Environment And Food Systems Programmes

   UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMMES 

In all the Degree Programmes, Applicants should hold at least 5 'O' Level passes including proficiency in the language of instruction, Mathematics and One Science subject from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Integrated Science, Agriculture or Combined Science and at least 2 'A' Level passes.

2.  BSc Honours Agricultural and Environmental Monitoring Systems- HAEMS   At least  2 'A' Level passes from Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Geography and Agriculture/Crop Science/Animal Science   4 Years 
 3.   BSc Honours Agricultural Informatics-HAI  Good 'O' Level passes (Grade B or better) in Mathematics and Science AND at least 2 'A' Level passes in Mathematics or Economics/ Business Studies and one subject from Accounts, Biology, Geography, Chemistry, Physics and Agriculture/ Crop Science/ Animal Science OR a Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized Agricultural College.   4 Years 
 4.   BSc Honours Applied Environmental Sciences and Technology - HAEST   At least  2 'A' Level passes from Chemistry and one subject from Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Geography, and Agriculture/Crop Science/ Animal Science   4 Years 
 5.   BSc Honours Agricultural Equipment Design and Manufacturing  Systems- HAEDMS   At least 2 'A' Level passes in Mathematics and Physics (compulsory)   4 Years 
 6.   BSc  Honours Agricultural Natural Resource Economics- HANRE  Good 'O' Level passes (Grade B or better) in Mathematics and Science AND at least 2 'A' Level passes in Mathematics or Economics/ Business Studies and one subject from Accounts, Biology, Geography, Chemistry, Physics and Agriculture/ Crop Science/ Animal Science OR a Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized Agricultural College.  4 Years 
 7.   BSc Honours  Agricultural Processing  Plant Design and Systems  Engineering- HAPPDSE   At least 2 'A' Level passes in Mathematics and Physics (compulsory)   4 Years 
 8.   BSc Honours Climate Science  Resilience and Livelihoods - HCSRL   At least 2 'A' Level passes in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Geography and Agriculture/Crop Science/ Animal Science   4 Years 
 9.  BSc Crop Improvement and Seed Systems- HCISS   At least 2 'A' Level passes in Biology  and one subject from Mathematics, Geography, Chemistry, Physics and Agriculture/Crop Science/ Animal Science OR a Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized Agricultural College   4 Years 
 10.   BSc  Honours Food Engineering - HFE   At least 2 'A' Level passes in Mathematics and Physics (compulsory)   4 Years 
 11.   BSc Honours Horticulture and Plantation Sciences - HHPS  At least 2 'A' Level passes in Biology and one subject from Mathematics, Geography, Chemistry, Physics, and Agriculture/ Crop Science/ Animal Science OR a Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized Agricultural college.   4 Years 
 12.   BSc Honours Livestock Improvement and Genetic Conservation- HLIGC   At least 2 'A' Level passes in Biology and one subject from Mathematics, Geography, Chemistry, Physics, and Agriculture/ Crop Science/ Animal Science OR a Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized Agricultural college.  4 Years 
 13.   BSc  Honours Livestock Production  and Nutrition Sciences- HLPNS   At least 2 'A' Level passes in Biology and one subject from Mathematics, Geography, Chemistry, Physics, and Agriculture/ Crop Science/ Animal Science OR a Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized Agricultural college.  4 Years 
14.  BSc Honours Meat and Dairy Sciences and Technology- HMDST  At least 2 'A' Level passes in Biology and one subject from Mathematics, Geography, Chemistry, Physics, and Agriculture/ Crop Science/ Animal Science OR a Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized Agricultural college. 4 Years 
15.  BSc Honours Plant  Production Science and Technology - HPPST  At least 2 'A' Level passes in Biology and one subject from Mathematics, Geography, Chemistry, Physics, and Agriculture/ Crop Science/ Animal Science OR a Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized Agricultural college 4 Years 
16.  BSc Honours  Rangeland Science and Livestock Production Ecology- HRSLPE   At least 2 'A' Level passes in Biology and one subject from Mathematics, Geography, Chemistry, Physics, and Agriculture/ Crop Science/ Animal Science OR a Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized Agricultural college  4 Years
17.  BSc Honours Soil Science and Land Management- HSSLM   At least 2 'A' Level passes in Chemistry, and one  subject from Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Geography and Agriculture/Crop Science/ Animal Science   4 Years 
18. BSc Honours Value Chain Development and Agricultural Marketing- HVCDAM Good 'O' Level passes (Grade B or better) in Mathematics and Science AND at least 2 'A' Level passes in Mathematics or Economics/ Business Studies and one subject from Accounts, Biology, Geography, Chemistry, Physics and Agriculture/ Crop Science/ Animal Science OR a Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized Agricultural College.  4 Years 
19.  BSc Honours Water Resources and Irrigation Engineering- HWRIE  At least 2 'A' Level passes in Mathematics and Physics (compulsory)  4 Years 
20.  BSc Honours Water Waste Management Systems- HWWMS At least 2 'A' Level passes in Chemistry,  Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Geography and Agriculture/Crop Science/ Animal Science  4 Years 

 POSTGRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMMES

2.  MSc. Agricultural and Applied Economics- MAAE  Applicants should have a recognised Honours in the field he/she intends to study at the MSc level or equivalent, with a classification of lower second class or better in the relevant subject.  2 Years Full Time 
3. MSc. Agricultural Chemicals Development  and Production Systems- MACDPS Applicants should hold a recognized Bachelor of Science Honours Degree with at least a Lower Second class Honours Degree or equivalent Degree class from a recognized institution of higher learning in any of the following areas: Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Soil Science, Crop/Plant Science, Livestock/Animal Science, Chemistry, Enviromental Science, Natural Resources Management. 2 Years Full Time 
4.  MSc. Agricultural Equipment Design and Manufacturing Systems- MAEMS  Applicants should hold at least a lower second (2.2) pass of an Honours Degree from a recognized institution in any of the following: Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and/or any approved equivalent and related experience.   2 Years Full Time 
 5.   MSc. Agricultural Informatics and Data Analytics- MAIDA   Applicants should have a good BSc Honours in Computing Science and Mathematics  2 Years Full Time 
 6.   MSc. Animal Breeding and Biotechnology- MABB  Applicants should have a good Honours Degree from a recognized University with a minimum 2.2 Degree classification (or equivalent) in one of the following: Agriculture including approved Animal/ Livestock Science courses, Veterinary Science (Note: where this degree has been awarded without classification then evidence will be required that performance has been equivalent to a good honours degree) , Dairy Science and Technology, or Biological Science   2 Years Full Time 
 7.   MSc. Animal Nutrition and Feed Production Science- MANFPS    Applicants should have a good Honours Degree from a recognized University with a minimum 2.2 Degree classification (or equivalent) in one of the following: Agriculture including approved Animal/ Livestock Science courses, Veterinary Science (Note: where this degree has been awarded without classification then evidence will be required that performance has been equivalent to a good honours degree) , Dairy Science and Technology, or Biological Science   2 Years Full Time 
 8.   MSc. Climate Change and Food Systems -MCCFS   Applicants should hold a recognized Bachelor of Science Honours Degree with at least Lower Second Class or equivalent class from a recognized institution of higher learning in any of the following areas: Environmental Science, Soil Science, Agriculture, Agricultural Meteorology, Natural Resources Management, Food and Nutrition Sciences, Climate Science, Livestock/Animal Science, Crop Science   2 Years Full Time 
 9.   MSc. Crop Protection and Postharvest Technology-MCPPT  Applicants should have a good Honours Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning in any one of the following areas: Agriculture, Crop Science, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Breeding and Biotechnology, Biological Science ( including approved modules) or an equivalent Honours Degree with approved Crop Science courses.

 10.   MSc. Environmental System Engineering- MESE   Applicants should hold at least a lower second (2.2) pass of an Honours Degree from a recognized institution in any of the following: Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and/ or any approved equivalent and related experience.   2 Years Full Time 
 11.  MSc. Food Processing System and Technology- MFPST   Applicants should have at least a lower second (2.2) pass of an Honours Degree from a recognised institution in any of the following: Agriculture, Food Science, Biological Science, Agricultural Engineering and/or any approved equivalent and related experience.   2 Years Full Time
 12.   MSc. Horticulture- MH  Applicants should have a good Honours Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning in any one of the following areas: Agriculture, Crop Science, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Breeding and Biotechnology, Biological Science ( including approved modules) or an equivalent Honours Degree with approved Crop Science courses.   2 Years Full Time 
 13.  MSc. Industrial  Ecology and Environmental Management - MIEEM   Applicants should hold a recognized Bachelor of Science Degree with at least a Lower Second class or equivalent class from a recognized institution of higher learning in any of the folllowing areas: Environmental Science, Agriculture/Agricultural Science, Geography including courses related to Environmental Geography, Natural Resources, Biological Sciences.   2 Years Full Time 
 14.   MSc. Insect Science and Food Systems -MISFS   Applicants should have a good Honours Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning in any one of the following areas: Agriculture, Crop Science, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Breeding and Biotechnology, Biological Science ( including approved modules) or an equivalent Honours Degree with approved Crop Science courses.    2 Years Full Time
15.  MSc. Irrigation Systems Engineering- MISE Applicants should hold at least a lower second (2.2) pass of an Honours Degree from a recognized institution in any of the following: Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and/or any approved equivalent and related experience.  2 Years Full Time
 16.   MSc. Plant Breeding and Biotechnology- MPBB  Applicants should have a good Honours Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning in any one of the following areas: Agriculture, Crop Science, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Breeding and Biotechnology, Biological Science ( including approved modules) or an equivalent Honours Degree with approved Crop Science courses.    2 Years Full Time
17.  MSc.
