Area of Research: Learning and instruction and mathematical problem solving processes; indigenous knowledge systems and contexts for developing mathematical concepts and thinking; mathematics teacher continuing professional development through in-service education (processes and strategies)

Current research projects: A number of small scale studies in collaboration with other colleagues within UZ, but also at other universities in the region.
