| HADT101 | Computer Aided Design | This course is designed to equip practising technical teachers with the language of graphics and the basic commands necessary for professional 2D and 3D drawing, design, and drafting using AutoCAD Essentials. |
| HADT102 | Theoretical Underpinnings and Philosophy of Design | The aim of this module is to provide students with the theoretical underpinnings of Design Education. It depicts Design as a word that describes both a process and an outcome of turning ideas into material things. Students are expected to understand Design as it is applied in a wide range of activities, such as; the design of a sales or financial plan, the design of a new organization, or the design of a home construction project like building shelves and the design of products, machines and systems. Many individuals have followed a design process in the module of their everyday activities. Design will be portrayed as a natural human ability along with the other innate capabilities such as communication and language. |

Designer-Technopreneurship |
The aim of this module is to prepare students to translate their innovations to business start-ups. The students will be taken through an entrepreneurship process from the generation of creative ideas, understanding market needs/provision of a solution to a key problem, exploring the feasibility and creation of a business enterprise. The module goes beyond rhetoric teaching of entrepreneurship as students are expected to practice. Students, in groups or as individuals, are expected to come up with and implement viable and defendable projects. The groups could be intra or inter domains i.e. collaboration is encouraged. This module can be offered at inter-faculty level |
