Fundamentals of Educational Planning and Development introduces students to the principles, processes, and practices of planning and development in education systems and institutions. It explores stakeholder roles, contract management, accountability, risk-sharing, and sustainability in educational partnerships.

EMLGI321  Leadership and Supervision of Educational Programmes  

Leadership and Supervision of Educational Programmes equips students with the knowledge and skills to effectively lead, coordinate, and supervise educational programs within schools and education systems. The module explores leadership theories, supervisory practices, and management strategies that promote high-quality teaching, learning, and program implementation. It examines planning, organization, monitoring, and evaluation of educational programs, as well as professional support and capacity-building for educators.

 EMLGI360  Research Project

 The module Research Projects in Educational Management and Leadership are a capstone module that enables students to design, conduct, and present research projects findings that address real-world challenges in educational management, leadership, and governance. Building on knowledge and skills from modules studied in the entire programme, the module guides students through identifying research problems, reviewing literature, formulating research questions/objectives, selecting appropriate methodologies, collecting and analysing and discussing data/findings, and drawing evidence-based conclusions. 

Emphasis is placed on producing research that informs educational policy, improves management practices, and fosters innovation in schools and education systems. The module also highlights ethical research practices, gender and inclussive considerations, and effective communication of findings to diverse stakeholders.  EMLGI322  Education Budgets and Financial Management  

Education Budgets and Financial Management equips students with the knowledge and skills to plan, manage, and evaluate financial resources within educational institutions and systems. The module explores the principles of budgeting, financial planning, accounting, and reporting in education, including allocation of resources, expenditure tracking, and financial accountability. It examines funding models, policy frameworks, and strategies for mobilizing and managing resources efficiently and transparently.
