Ms Barbra Maiwasha is a budding researcher and a lecturer in the Department of Governance and Public Management at the University of Zimbabwe. She holds an MSc Degree in Public Administration and a BSc Honours Degree in Administration from the University of Zimbabwe. Currently she is a PhD candidate at North-west University in South Africa. Barbra has research publications around public finance management, state owned enterprise governance, public policy, and public governance. These key areas are constantly sought by the Government, industry and commerce and require innovative discoveries.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Laws Honours Degree (UZ); Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Political Science (UZ); Master of Science in International Relations (UZ); Master of Laws in Constitutional and Human Rights Law (MSU); and Master of Laws in International Law (UZ).

Research Interests: I am a Legal and International Relations transdisciplinary academic, with special interest in International Law, International Relations and Diplomacy, Responsive Governance, Politics and Public Management. I have, on a part time basis, lectured International Law, Trade and Investment Law, Contract Law, International Law and Diplomacy at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at Africa University and University of Zimbabwe. On a professional basis, I am a registered Legal Practitioner, Conveyencer and Notary Public. I have served as a Board of Directors for NRZ, Air Zimbabwe and ZINARA.

I have attended more than 50 legal and international relations symposia, mostly on a professional basis and have published the following papers:
