Research interests:
Exploring mental health of, and building resilience among, vulnerable and/or marginalised populations (especially youths and other disadvantaged children) through contextually appropriate and ingenious knowledge-based interventions. He employs transdisciplinary and participatory methodologies that involve working with state officials, officials from non-governmental organisations, researchers from diverse but relevant disciplines and people from the marginalised populations themselves. He combines the use of participatory visual methodologies and traditional mixed methods (qualitative interviews and quantitative data collection methods) to elicit new stories and lived experiences and catalyse fresh thinking about possible solutions.
