An award winning senior eye care practitioner genuinely interested in increasing accessibility to ocular health care, improving quality of care and expanding range of eye care services available in Zimbabwe. She has served on the Zimbabwe Optometric Association (ZOA) executive as president and also held other positions such as secretary in the committee. She has also served as vice-chair on the Zimbabwe National Prevention of blindness committee. She is the Vice-Chair on the Higher Examinations Council of Zimbabwe (HEXCO). Her areas of interest include academia, low vision therapy, early detection of eye disease, specialist contact lenses, and remote access to care. As a patriotic Zimbabwean she is very keen to see the profession of Optometry in Zimbabwe continue to grow in leaps and bounds and is dedicated to ensuring that it does. She also serves the community in various outreaches annually offering free eye care including treatment and distribution of free spectacles to those that need them.
Current research areas: Early detection of Keratoconus and Hyperopia and its effects on learning in pediatric patients.
