Dr Chimhuya was former head of division of Paediatrics at Harare Central Hospital before joining the UZ-CHS Paediatrics Department as a Lecturer in 2009 where he became one of the two lecturers running the neonatal unit. He went on to undertake courses in medical education thus adding to the wealth of medical educatiors in the department of Paediatrics and Child Health. He contributed to revising and improving the neonatal and paediatric curricular for undergraduate training. He is also a dedicated and highly motivated member of a committee that oversees the undergraduate teaching and examinations. Dr Chimhuya has coordinated the surveillance programmes for the Ministry of Health and Child Care such as Congenital Rubella Syndrome and Paediatric Bacteraial Meningitis. His research interests are in Epidemiology, Neonatology, Nutrition and Medical education.

Dr Ticklay is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health. Dr Mavetera is a Lecturer in the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health. His research interests are in Intensive Care and Infectious Diseases. Dr Mavetera is also the head of the Paediatrics Division, Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals.

Professor Mujuru is an Associate Profesor in the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health. Her research interests are in HIV/AIDS in children, Malaria, Epidemiology, Pulmonology, Intergrated management of childhood interest and medical education.Professor Mujuru is an Associate Profesor in the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health. Her research interests are in HIV/AIDS in children, Malaria, Epidemiology, Pulmonology, Intergrated management of childhood interest and medical education.Her long stint as Chairperson saw a remarkable rise in young graduates pursuing Paediatrics as a specialty. She was a pivotal contributor to the Ministry of Health and Child Care in numerous taskforces that have shaped Ministry policy and guidelines in various conditions affecting children. Her areas of research interest include HIV in children, childhood TB, Malaria in children including IMCN, Paediatric Respiratory Diseases – particularly asthma.
