ACCSY102	Discrete Mathematics	This is an introductory module in discrete mathematics. The goal of this course is to introduce students to ideas and techniques from discrete mathematics that are widely used in science and engineering. This course teaches the students techniques in how to think logically and mathematically and apply these techniques in solving problems. To achieve this goal, students will learn logic and proof, sets, functions, as well as algorithms and mathematical reasoning. Key topics involving relations, graphs, trees, and formal languages and computability are covered in this course.
BANKFIN102	Financial Markets and Regulation	The purpose of the module is to provide students with knowledge of the structure and functioning of financial markets and the securities traded therein in order to enable them to make successful financial decisions on the individual as well as the corporate level.

ACCSY203	Database	The aims of this module are to familiarize students with the basic concepts underlying a DBMS as well as give some hands-on experience in using a DBMS.
FINMGT203	Financial Management	The module enables students to appreciate the role of financial management in organization and to acquaint students with knowledge of time value of money and its relevant in financial management as well as apply knowledge of time value of money in routine business applications such as calculations of loan monthly instalments, loan amortization and setting up of sinking funds for various purposes the module introduces students to project appraisal
ARMGT203	Auditing and Assurance	The main objective of the module is to build foundational knowledge of Audit. This module is meant to prepare student for both a theoretical appreciation of Auditing and an introductory aspect on application. It is designed for students in their second semester ready for work related learning especially in Accredited Training Offices.

ACCSY301	Software Engineering Management	This module is a detailed introduction to the application of engineering approach to computer software design and development and the purpose of this module is to present software engineering as a body of knowledge. The module is designed to present software engineering concepts and principles in parallel with the software development life cycle
ACCSY305	Quantitative Finance	The module provides coverage of important topics in modern Quantitative Finance. Particular attention is given to the topics such as the Efficient Market Hypothesis, financial markets micro-structure and types of arbitrage, general principles of modelling the price dynamics of financial assets, market risk and other types of financial risks, Value-at-Risk (VaR) approach and applications, modelling f extreme market events, VaR analysis for financial derivatives using the Kolmogorov equations framework, foundations of the copula methods, modelling of periodic and quasi-periodic trends in time series in connection with technical analysis, and the foundations of high-frequency arbitrage trading. The topics covered in this module will enable the students to develop the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for successful working with multiple types of risks in modern financial markets, both local and international.
ACCSY302	Data Warehousing	The aim of this course is to impart the knowledge on how to implement classical models and algorithms in data warehousing and data mining and to characterize the kinds of patterns that can be discovered by association rule mining, classification and clustering.

The course is designed to let students demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of data communication, types of transmission mediums and interfacing standards along with current edge of the data compression techniques
ACCSY304	Algorithms and Data Structures	It introduces students to a number of highly efficient algorithms and data structures for fundamental computational problems across a variety of areas. Students are also introduced to techniques such as amortised complexity analysis. As in the first-year course, the style of the presentation is rigorous but not formal.

ARRMGT305	Cyber Security	This module is designed to teach security aspects to students on how to engage all functional levels within the enterprise to deliver information system security. To this end, the course addresses a range of topics, each of which is vital to securing the modern enterprise. These topics include inter alia plans and policies, enterprise roles, security metrics, risk management, standards and regulations, physical security, and business continuity.
