| MSDTPS521 | Industrial Engineering | This practical module exposes students to Industrial Engineering (IE) tools and techniques. This enables them to experience the ways in which these tools and techniques are used to fully support Business objectives, usually in the form of standards data and productivity improvements. Students also explore applications of the tools and techniques in different situations, in order to understand which tools to use, how to improvise, redesign and maximise potential benefits. |
| MSDTPS522 | Emerging Technologies for Business | The module addresses the everchanging technology sphere and demonstrates how emerging technologies can be adopted and adapted to different industries and business contexts. It equips students with crucial, advanced theoretical and practical technological foundations. Students engage in practical analysis and selection of current and future technological trends. | MSDTPS523 | Innovation | The module inculcates a set of skills in students that help them to create new products and systems in a commercial context. It prepares students to be innovative both as new start-ups or as established entrepreneurs. Focus is on instilling capability and confidence to conceptualise, originate, design and commercialise new products, services and business models. Students interpret and contextualise the mindset of a disruptive innovator and critically assess how innovation is designed and deployed.
