| MADSS501 | Strategic Change Management for Organisation Adaptation | This course will enable the students to lead in strategic planning and management which helps organization define their mission vision and map out strategic actions to achieve their goals in a given time frame. The course will discuss strategic planning process which will include mission, vision, action plans, performance indicators, when things will be done by who and when. Evaluation will need to be formative as well as summative. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of effective management and effective management styles. |
| MADSS502 | Development Theories in Lifelong Learning | The course aims at equipping participants with relevant skills so as to gain insights into the dynamics of Rural Development and the vital role played by Lifelong Learning. It is assumed that the participants have been involved in some aspects of Rural Development but may have little or no theoretical background. |
| MADSS505 | Educational Systems Planning for Innovative Strategies in Lifelong learning | The aim of the course is to familiarize learners with the scope and relevance on Educational Systems Planning so that they apply it with the provision of Adult Education in their various organizations. The intent of this course is to give the learner a firm foundation in the historical and conceptual context of Educational Systems Planning in order that he/she will be better prepared to deal with the current problems and possibilities in the field of education today. |

Advanced Social Science Research Methods (Faculty Wide Module) |
The module aims to provide advanced skills in research methods for graduate students. It enhances postgraduate students’ knowledge and skills for conducting, analysing and interpreting research in the field of sociology, anthropology and gender studies. The module focuses upon both qualitative and quantitative techniques and the knowledge gained, will be useful for conducting research and as tools for professional practice. The module will also equip learners with the use of digital technologies in data collection, processing, analysis and management. |

The module introduces students to the use of information technologies and their application in academic research. |
| MADSS506 | Designing Innovative Training Packages for Lifelong Learning | The course has two main components i.e. the theoretical part that looks at an overview of the theories and principles of instructional design and the practical part i.e. the industrial attachment that explores problems that require training solutions in a selected organisational setting, identifies appropriate content and designs a training package to solve the identified problems. The first part is done during the first residential section and the second part during the second session. |
| MADSS 507 | Disaster and Livelihood Management for Community Development | The aim of the course is to equip participants with the right skills, knowledge, and attitudes to managing environmental disasters within their catchment areas. |
| MADSS508 | Advanced Workers’ Education and Industrial Relations | The aim of the course is to examine the meaning, evolution and dimensions of the concept of the worker’s education as part of the whole field of Lifelong Learning within the context of a detailed analysis of the industrial labour relations in general, and in Zimbabwe in particular. The course assesses the factors that influence and/or facilitate the growth of the movements of worker’s education in former metropolitan countries as well as in Zimbabwe, and the contributions this movement made to economic, social, political and cultural growth in the United Kingdom, other countries in Europe, the third world regions and Zimbabwe. |
| MADSS509 | Peace Education and Conflict Resolution | This module focuses on equipping learners with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to build a culture of peace and effectively manage conflicts. |
| MADSS570 | Dissertation | A dissertation between 20000– 25000 words within six months is compulsory. The dissertation shall be submitted at the end of 18 months or the third semester. Topics for the dissertation will be organised around various thematic areas and should respond to current problems facing the nation. |
