Sheanesu Kwenda

Qualifications: MSc in Sociology and Social Anthropology, BSc Honours Degree in Sociology, University of Zimbabwe.

Bio: Sheanesu Kwenda is a dynamic and passionate Junior Lecturer in the Department of Community and Social Development. He is committed to exploring and advancing knowledge in various areas of community and social development. Sheanesu holds a Master of Science Degree (MSc) in Sociology and social anthropology, where he delved deep into the intricate social phenomena that shape societies. He holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Sociology. He has a keen interest in several research areas that are of supreme importance in contemporary society. His research primarily focuses on youth empowerment, recognizing the immense potential of young individuals to catalyse positive change. In addition, he actively participates in informal economy studies, acknowledging the significant role it plays in the lives of many people and communities worldwide. Diversity and inclusion are also key areas of interest for Sheanesu. He explores strategies that enable the inclusion of marginalized individuals and communities in various societal aspects such as education, employment, or social development. He is also deeply concerned about climate change and its profound impact on human societies. He is interested in gender and sexuality issues as they remain salient in today’s society. Sheanesu strives to actively promote youth empowerment, address the challenges of the informal economy, advocate for diversity and inclusion as well as integrate solutions to ameliorate climate change’s impact in contemporary societies and promote sustainability.

Qualifications: MSC. Sociology and Anthropology, BSC in Sociology, BSC. SP in  Monitoring and Evaluation, Executive Certificate in Humanitarian Assistance and Project Management, Executive Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation. Registered   PhD Student   Community   and   Social Development (University of Zimbabwe).

Bio: Primrose Hove is a self-motivated, distinct, creative, and highly resourceful and performance based social scientist (sociologist) and development   practitioner   offering   research, data analysis, project management, monitoring and evaluation skills and expertise.  She has field experience in Emergency Preparedness and Food Aid, Monitoring and Evaluation, gender issues (GBV), sexual reproductive health rights issues (SRHR), poverty, rural development   among others. As a researcher and development practitioner she possesses   excellent communication and interpersonal abilities and good interactive skills as well as good   presentation skills. In her research work she gained   experience and In-depth working knowledge of computer based statistical packages and information dissemination. She is a multi-skilled researcher familiar with both qualitative and quantitative research aspects as well as data analysis.

Research Interests: Monitoring and Evaluation, Rural Development, Urbanisation, and   Development, Qualitative and Quantitative Research, Poverty, Livelihoods, Gender issues, Migration and Sustainable Development.
