Qualifications: Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health (University of Witwatersrand), Master in Population Studies (UKZN), Bachelor of Social Sciences (UKZN), Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation (UZ), Specialised certificate in project management (University of Witwatersrand), Certificate of competency in Leadership Management and Governance for Health Systems Strengthening (Afro PHC & Amref Health Africa)

Bio: Dr Christine Chawhanda is a Public Health specialist, Demographer, and a Social scientist. She has experience in teaching and research especially in the following areas: Epidemiology, Sexual and reproductive health, Population and Health, Migration, Social innovation and community development, Demographic Techniques; Gender-based violence; Communicable and non-communicable diseases; Fertility; Qualitative Research Methods and, Quantitative Research Methods.  She was a post-doctoral research fellow at Wits-TUB-UNILAG URBAN LAB (School of Architecture and Planning), has worked with NGOs and international organizations in implementing Disaster risk Reduction programmes and has been involved in consultancy work on Migration, HIV and AIDS, TB, COVID-19 and gender related issues.

Research Interests: Sexual and reproductive health, public health, Social policy, Migration, Gender-based violence, Fertility, Gender and development, Social innovation, urban management, Climate change, Disaster risk reduction, Livelihoods

Bio:  Winnet Hokoza is a Junior Lecturer in the Department of Social and Community Development, Faculty of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Zimbabwe.  She is a holder of a Master of Science Degree in Sociology and Social Anthropology (UZ), Bachelor Honors Degree in Sociology (UZ) and an Executive Certificate in Humanitarian Assistance and Programme Management (UZ). She is currently pursuing her PhD in Social and Behavioral Sciences focusing on Gender Based Violence Services Provision in rural areas across Zimbabwe. She is a highly resourceful social development practitioner with field expertise in Gender Based Violence Responsive Care Initiatives, Sexual Reproductive Health Rights, Rural and urban development, project planning, monitoring and evaluation as well as Political-Religious dialogues for community development. Her research interests revolve around community development and empowerment, rural development, welfare of vulnerable groups within communities, GBV and urban development and policy.
