Appeal against Published Examination results

  • Every student has a right to appeal against published results by formally writing to the Deputy Registrar, Academic within twenty-one (21) days from publication of results.
  • The appeal should clearly outline the justification for such an appeal and have attached to it any relevant documented evidence. 
  • On lodging the appeal, the appellant shall pay any prescribed fee.
  • The appellant will be formally notified in writing by the Deputy Registrar, Academic, of the outcome of the appeal at the earliest possible time from the time of lodging the appeal.

  • Examination results shall be published at the end of each Modular Teaching and Examination Block.
  • An electronic version of individualised published results will be accessible from each registered student’s eMhare portal provided the student is registered and fully paid up.

Missing Scheduled Examinations

  • The Departmental Board of Examiners shall consider the tendered circumstances and appropriately recommend, through the Faculty Board of Examiners an appropriate decision for consideration by the Academic Committee.
  • However, should a student miss examination due to unforeseen circumstances beyond one’s control, they would be required to inform the Departmental Chairperson giving adequate detail and supporting documentation.
  • Students are not expected to miss scheduled examinations without compelling reasons.
  • The student would be advised of the decision through published results or formal correspondence through the Deputy Registrar, Academic.
